Our Team

Nancy Vigna-McLaughlin

Early in her career, Nancy pursued all aspects of the business of visual communications, from design, art direction, creative direction, and print production to account management and business development.

Now with more than 35 years of experience developing engaging, successful, results-oriented visual communications—together with a high energy work ethic and tenacity—Nancy’s business acumen in cultivating client relationships, business development, and project and team management, assures uncompromising success for clients of Sky Design.

As an originating partner of Design x2, incorporated in 1998, she sought its successful expansion through Cheryl’s partnership and ushered in its transformation into Sky Design in 2006. “It was always my intention to be part of what Sky Design embodies today: a dedicated partnership in a design firm that is committed to excellence in the work we produce and the relationships that we form; commitments our clients can count on.”

A dedicated mom blessed with two children, she loves yoga, live music, the arts, skydiving and coercing anyone willing to think about it into taking the leap with her.

Cheryl Fox Gnagey

Originally from New York, Cheryl moved to the Baltimore area to start a partnership with Sky Design. Working in the communications industry for more than 30 years, she has vast experience as a designer, art director, illustrator, and print coordinator for design and marketing agencies.

Cheryl has a strong corporate communications background, specifically as senior designer with AT&T and heading an art department for Lucent Technologies. She was also VP of production and design at a NYC-based printing firm, learning valuable lessons in print buying and the art of printing.

Throughout her career Cheryl has searched for what Sky Design encompasses: a chemistry that makes a great creative partnership, where all who are involved care equally about the quality of their work and the integrity of their customer relationships.

Outside of work, she enjoys art shows, photography, wine tasting, and touring historical homes and gardens around Maryland.

Gina Mason

As Sky Design’s administrative assistant, Gina answers phones, opens the mail, pays the bills, runs errands and spoils the cats.

Gina worked in interior design for several years before returning to her first love: using her keen office administration and organizational skills to help creative and crazed graphic designers stay sane and – most importantly – productive.

Outside of work, Gina leads a very active life with her husband, Bill and two children Zach and Ashley.
